Acceptance: Diversity of Community

Over the weekend I was in San Diego for the Big Vision Conference.  When I arrived, the first thing I did was go to the beach.  I met a woman there who would influence my entire weekend and give me lasting insight.  During our conversation I discovered this woman is what they locally call a “Traveler”.  She explained that a Traveler is a person who chooses to live out of their car, traveling from one place to the next.  The Travelers find a job and work long enough to support their needs.  Then they leave the job world and enjoy a freedom that few of us can even comprehend.  Travelers meet up, develop friendships and do things together.  While I was there clothing was being handed out to those in need.  Others worked the beach, picking up trash everyone leaves behind.  They were serving humans and Mother Earth.

Society judges people like the Travelers as transients, the homeless and bums.  However, the Travelers life style set me to thinking.  Many people around the globe get up, go to work, come home and sit in front of the TV.  They own material things, are surrounded by opportunities; yet many seem caught in a cycle of low energy activities which in turn affects their health and well being.  Yes, there are also many who are active participants in their communities and with families.

I asked myself, “What is the difference between what society considers a typical community and people such as the Travelers?”  I looked closer at the Travelers.  I saw their interconnectedness, their concern and their love for each other and all those around them.  I saw them offer strangers a helping hand and sharing.  I watched as they picked up trash from the beach area, keeping our environment clean.  They accepted me immediately.  I felt included, connected and loved.  I knew I could return any time to the Travelers and be welcomed.  I knew they were as much a community as those we live in.

Attending the conference I also felt a connection there.  Perhaps part of the acceptance was that many of us worked in the same fields of expertise.  I felt just as accepted and loved at my five star hotel, full of Healers and other Metaphysical practitioners, as I did at the beach when enjoying time with the Travelers.  In a single weekend I came across two diverse communities, both accepting me as I am.

I was gifted with wondrous insight about community and even more, about acceptance!  I accept myself as I am; I allow my life to unfold.  By allowing others to follow their own path, without judgment, it becomes easy to show my acceptance and love.  In the future when I see people who appear to be without community I will have greater compassion, love and acceptance.

Cicadas Song Becomes Confirmation

I went to Prescott this last week for some “me” time.  I wanted to get away from all the electronics and spend time in nature.  Even with this in mind I took along my computer.  Although Wi-Fi was available I could not get on the internet.  I laughed a little knowing I was there to get away from what I actually brought along!  With the internet excluded I found other little things to do.
As I made my way through this time I began to realize I did not have to push so hard in my day to day life and taking some quiet time was beneficial.  I slowed my pace, felt more in balance and connected to nature.  I spoke to the Cicadas that at times were quite loud.  I spoke to them about “being” as they are; to exist in the moment, to grow and be in nature.  I felt the Cicadas song was just for me – a song of confirmation that quiet time is healing.  Watch the video and listen to their beautiful song!
When I returned to the city and came back on line I realized I did not miss anything.  I discovered I had greater clarity and focus.  Many of my manifested desires seemed to pop all around me.

My experience is similar to what just happened to a friend of mine.  She accidentally locked herself out of her house and onto the patio.  When she told me about it she said the experience forced her into a quiet time.  She relaxed, meditated and spent time loving her plants and surrounding trees.

Spending quiet time has so many benefits!  Whether you meditate, spend time in nature, manifest or BE in the moment, the quiet brings balance, peace, inner joy, introspection and the answer to our desires.

A New Way of Networking: Energy Weaving

AZ Social Networking was originally launched as Christina Wagners 905 Meetup. When I owned my Wellness Center this was the first Meetup I attended where the objective was to meet and network with other small business owners.  When I met Christina she told me she started this Meetup because she had a fear of public speaking and felt this type of gathering would give her the opportunity to practice speaking in front of groups.  The Meetup was held in a restaurant where the noise was a distraction.  I asked Christina if perhaps she would like to hold future meetings at my Center and she agreed.  After several months Christina moved her Meetup to the Aloft Hotel.

In January, 2010, after moving my Center I started attending these Meetups again.  Due to a career change Christina graciously turned this Meetup group over to me in April of 2012.  Since then this Meetup has taken on a whole new spin.  The previous focus of networking evolved into “netweaving”!

We weave the tapestry of our lives through our experiences.  Weaving our tapestry we include all the wondrous people, places, observations, actions and realizations which make up our beautiful, individual tapestry. As we meet others we often weave them into our tapestry and their beauty becomes a part of our beauty.  And so it is with AZ Social Networking.  Through the experience of meeting with other business people we have the opportunity to tell others what we love to do.  This creates a synergy as well as a fellowship which connects and motivates everyone. It is no longer networking!

Come join us at AZ Social Networking (Netweaving) every third Thursday at 9 AM!

Shifting Energy…WOW!

Are you feeling the chaotic energy? Are you feeling out of alignment, out of sorts? With three eclipses one after another, the alignment of the planets, solar flares and the poles shifting, I feel it too. It seems like I’m helping more and more people understand the wisdom in spending more time centering and creating balance in the winds of change. I’m finding that teaching peace and finding more peace within myself is one of the keys.

With all the changes this is an intense time. It is our time to grow and come into our power. Connect to who you are and build a stronger foundation based on self trust. Creating and maintaining a strong connection with our selves will build confidence as we all step into the unknown. I feel it is then that we will experience these changes and growth with love and joy.

When we open more fully to all the shifting of the energies, the frequencies, or vibrations which are moving around and through us, you will see the awesomeness of you. I am open to receiving the gifts of the Universe/God. So I encourage you to embrace the greatness within you and SHINE ON!
